FULL TEXT OF THE KHRUSHCHEV SPEECH 1956

The first thing to note about this English version of Khrushchev’s famous speech denouncing Stalin is the wonderful caricature on the cover.  It admirably conveys the self-confidence, joviality and smugness of Khrushchev.

This speech is one of the most significant in the history of the 20th. Century.  Khrushchev was unable to go into too much detail without incriminating himself and almost all the other members of his government, but he said enough to shock the world.
